GOALS National Tournament 2021 And the winner is...

Yerevan, Armenia 28 June, 2021 -  With great enthusiasm Girls of Armenia Leadership Soccer NGO announces that on June 26th the final games of National Tournament 2021 took place at Pyunik stadium. National Tournament is the most anticipated event of the year for our beneficiaries and teams, where the winning teams of regional leagues come together to play for the National Cup. 

“It is our intention to encourage the development of team sports in regional Armenia, to enable the engagement of girls in sports, and break stereotypes along the way. We are very proud that today, over 900 girls participate in GOALS activities across the country.” GOALS NGO, President Teny Avakian.

The event started with the Women’s National Team joining the girls tems for warm-up activities. They stand as role-models for the girls of regional Armenia. By using sport for social impact, GOALS aims to equip youth with confidence and resilience to face and resolve challenges both on and off the field. 


GOALS programming and 2021 National Tournament couldn't have been possible without its champions. A special thanks to COAF, Paros Foundation, the Football Federation of Armenia, Aurora Foundation, Noravank SC, Pyunik FC, Gary and Linda Assarian, our incredible board and many more for their generosity. 

This year the final games were between Anoushavan, Shirak region and “Bakunts” team from Goris, Syuniq for first and second place, and Alaverdi, Lori region and Areni, Vayots Dzor region for third place.

 “Bakuts” took the win 4:0. Congratulations to them for becoming this year's National Tournament Champions.
